    Cheap price

Hotel is intended for smokers. I'm an ex-smoker. If you have allergies or lung problems or small children this is not a good place to stay. The beds were ok, awful, lumpy pillows but the carpets were gross and need to be cleaned. I couldnt stand to walk on them barefoot so take some flip flpos or house shoes. The bathroom had new sink/counter tops and surround for the tub, but the shower head had not been installed correctly with plumbers putty or tape so it sprayed water all over the bathroom...I Had to tie a towel around it to take a shower. I think this is why the paint was peeling from the walls in there. (The maid removed the towel but it wasnt fixed before we checked out). It's a 2 floor building with no elevator. Breakfast ends at 9am so no sleeping late if you want food.

Manager graciously gave us a larger room for the price. He probably gave us one of the better rooms for which we were thankful.

I used a saftey pin to close the curtains. Cobwebs on ceiling. Hole in wall by vent in bathroom, ceiling above tub not connected to wall. Lizard & spider on floor be sink and sink cabinet not connected with floor. From the photo on the web, the hotel looked new. The bldng has been painted & they may be renovating room by room.

There's nothing I liked about this hotel at all. There were roaches in the room and bathtub.

Our family reunion dinner was held in the banquet hall.

THE HOTEL WAS ABSOLUTELY FILTHY. I CHECKED IN AND WAS VERY DISPLEASED WITH THE ROOM. I FELT SINCE I WOULD BE CHARGED WHETHER I STAYED OR NOT, I WOULD TOUGH OUT THE ONE NIGHT STAY. WRONG DECISION!!!!! AFTER OUR FAMILY BANQUET DINNER, I RETURNED TO MY ROOM ABOUT MIDNIGHT, SHOWERED AND PREPARED FOR BED. WHILE I WAS LYING IN THE BED, A BED BUG CRAWLED ACROSSED THE PILLOW. THE ROOM PHONE WAS NOT HOOKED UP TO INFORM THE FRONT DESK I WILL BE CHECKING OUT, SO I GATHERED MY BELONGINGS AND HEADED DOWNSTAIRS. OH, AND WHILE I WAS PACKING UP, ANOTHER BED BUG CRAWLED FROM UNDER THE PILLOW. THE STAFF OFFERED ANOTHER ROOM, BUT WHY WOULD I STAY IN ANOTHER ROOM THAT I'M SURE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. DO NOT STAY HERE! IT IS HORRIBLE!! I AM NOT ONE TO COMPLAIN, BUT FOR $78 A NIGHT, I DO NOT EXPECT THE HILTON, BUT AT LEAST A ROOM WITHOUT BUGS.

It was my worst experiance ever! The room I was assigned to would not lock. So we were then moved upstairs where the room smell like urine. We were then moved again and my debit card was constantly being swiped due to computer problems. They charged my debit card 4 times instead of once and refuse to credit the money back. He act like I was crazy and told me to call the police. He then credit back 2 payments but not the third one. My bank then took charge and mission was accomplished.

The 15 year old television actually worked. The air-conditioning worked. The owner's helper was rarely around, but when she was present, she was very polite.

Upon entering hotel, my wife rang and rang and called out for about 5 minutes- she charged our card twice- there was a gathering of gang looking young men outside the front of the hotel after checking in playing loud rap music, smoking and yelling at each other. Hotel attendent addressed issue-- the group proceeded to continue rude behavior in there room- leaving door open, yelling and screaming and smoking with no regard for other guests. We asked for a non-smoking room- did not get one. Fridge had cockroaches in it. There were water bottles from previous guests not cleaned up. The door dead-bolt latch was broken. The beadspreads were filthy old. The owner denied charging our room twice- had to call bank to stop charge. Continiental breakfast consisted of bread, butter, a toaster, milk, and warm juice.

The only thing remotely nice about the place was the staff.

The Tyler Inn was the worst dump I've stayed at in years. Would not return.

I booked a room for two nights at the Tyler Express Inn and Suites through Booked.net on 28 October 2011. My wife and I, and our daughter, checked into the hotel at 11:41 pm that evening. As we walked down the hallway, we noticed the smell of cigarette smoke in the non-smoking hotel; we also noticed that the hallways were quite loud, despite the late hour. We still planned to stay, as it would only be one night. As we got settled in, it became clear that the restroom had not been cleaned since the previous guest. There were open toiletries on the sink, and a damp towel over the shower rod. The conditions in the hallway and our room made any room at this establishment unappealing. Within 10 minutes I returned to the front desk and asked for a refund on the room, explaining the situation. The manager told me that a refund was not possible because we had been in the room longer than 5 minutes. I was told that people were smoking in the rooms because there was a function going on; the staff did not seem to think that the indoor smoking was a problem. We told the manager that we would dispute any charges to our card. He showed me our signed check-in slip, and told us to dispute. I admit that I made a swipe at the check-in slip, which was uncalled for. The manager followed us out of the hotel, while making disparaging remarks. We left the premises just after midnight. As of 31 October, it seems that we were charged for two nights at the hotel, although neither of the charges have yet posted, and cannot be disputed until they do. We maintain that the charges are fraudulent, and should be refunded.

The complementary breakfast was great, the satff were friendly and there wsnt any distubance of noisy neighboors. He hotel was super clean, hte lobby was opened 24/7 and the things it offered made everything easier. If you need somewhere to spend a couple of hours the cadwell zoo is practically around the corner. There is a big variety of restaurants around
